World First Independent Power Station with Renewable Energy to be Born

Recently, the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS and Wanshan Ocean Development Zone, Zhuhai Municipality concluded an agreement on the research and construction project of an independent renewable energy system on the island. Thus, the first independent power station on an island in the world with renewable energies such as solar energy, wind energy and wave energy can be comprehensively used will be established in the Dangan Island, Zhuhai City. Many patent technologies, which have been independently developed, will be adopted for the project, making the project advanced and creative in system optimization and integration, typhoon and corrosion resistance, improvement of energy utility ratio, etc. Power supply will be realized by power generation, storage, reverse transformation, control, etc. Furthermore, fresh water can be made by using the excess energy. The Dangan Island will become an independent energy demonstration system integrating renewable energies.
As planned, the construction of the power station will start this year. With a total installed capacity of 200KW and an annual generated energy of 100,000 Kwh, the project will see an annual output of 10,000-ton fresh water by the excess energy. The project is expected be completed and put into operation at the end of next year.
