Recently, a polymer composite intelligent lamination project achieved a great breakthrough by the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS in cooperation with FSPG Hi-Tech Co. Ltd. Through repeated tests, a sample lamination with breadth of 200mm has been successfully produced. This lamination not only has a good performance for infrared adjusting, but also has a superior transmittance for visible light, which fits the actual needs of the customers. This product is energy efficient, and moreover intelligent and environmentally friendly. The production capacity is expected to be more than one billon RMB Yuan a year, while the price accounts for only 1/3 of the imported non-intelligent products. The specific feature of the film is that it’s able to control the temperature intelligently from two sides. The core principle to realize this is that a VO2 temperature adjusting layer is inlaid in the lamination working as a switch to the transmission of infrared light. It is estimated that the market needs for such lamination films could be of 500 billion RMB yuan with an increase of 10% each year.
