Agreement Signed with Nagaoka University of Technology

On Jan. 10, 2009, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC) signed a Cooperation and Exchange Agreement with Nagaoka University of Technology. Zhang Hongjie, Deputy Director General of CIAC and KOJIMA Yo, President of Nagaoka University of Technology signed the agreement. Pursuant to the agreement, both sides will strengthen cooperation on scientific research and academic exchanges, launch substantial cooperation on regular mutual visits by scholars and periodical exchanges of postgraduate students, so as to promote the development in the scientific research area of the two sides.

Cooperation with Laos on Traditional Medicine

From Jan. 12 to 16, 2009, Dr. Bounhong Southavong, Director of the Traditional Medicine Research Center, Ministry of Health, Laos, led a two-member delegation to pay a five-day visit to the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden and the two sides signed a cooperation agreement with a term of five years.
