Wenchuan Earthquake Images Published

With a preface written by Lu Yongxiang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress and President of CAS, the Collection of Remote Sensing Images of Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster was published by the Science Press.

Guo Huadong, Director General of the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth, CAS is the chief editor. The book, based on the achievements of Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Remote Sensing Monitoring and Damages Evaluation Team, demonstrates damages caused by the earthquake from the perspectives of original state of the earthquake disaster, geological disasters, barrier lakes, damages to buildings, roads and engineering and ecological disaster with detailed documents and data and through profound analysis by scientists and engineers.
