Flexible Transparent Polyimide Film

Prof. Yang Zhenghua and Researchers of his research group of the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, CAS invented a kind of flexible transparent polyimide film and its preparation method, and has obtained a Chinese patent recently. The flexible transparent polyimide film they invented has a good light transmittance, which is more than 90% over light with a wavelength of above 500nm when the thickness of the film is 25μm. It also has good heat resistance; and has sufficient mechanical strength when the temperature of ITO and amorphous silicon coating process is 200℃ and the glass transition temperature of the film is above 250℃. The surface of the film is smooth, flat and free of pinholes. It can prevent the occurrence of broken or short circuit of thin film cells and meets the essential conditions for thin polymer film to be used as substrate of flexible panel display and solar cells, so it has wide and sound application prospects.
