Coal Gasification for Pulverized Coal Industrialized

The first Industrial Demonstration Unit of Coal Gasification for Pulverized Coal with pressurized Ash Agglomeration Technique in China was developed by the Institute of Coal Chemistry (ICC), CAS. So far, the 76-hour commissioning has been successfully completed in Shijiazhuang Jinshi Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd. The core gasification device operated stably and qualified gas run into synthetic ammonia production system. The device will be put into trial run after its supporting facilities are further improved. The internal diameter of the core device gasification furnace is 2.4m and its operating pressure is 0.6Mpa. The single furnace can process anthracite coal 324 tons per day, dry gas 26000Nm3 per hour and 60,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year for Jincheng. After one and half year design and construction, the commissioning of air separating unit was successfully completed on Jun. 25, 2008, producing qualified oxygen and nitrogen products; on Jul. 21, the gasification device was fired to heat the furnace, signaling the installation of the project has been basically completed. On Aug. 12, the thermal commissioning was started and on Sep. 5, the commissioning was completed.
