- On Nov. 30, Dr. Peter Arzberger, Chairman of the Pacific Rim Applications and Grid Middleware Assembly, visited the Computer Network Information Center, CAS.
- On Dec. 4, Academician Dobretsov, Vice President of Russian Academy of Sciences and President of the Siberia Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, and his entourage visited Changchun Cedar Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., which was invested by the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, CAS.
- On Dec. 3, Jose M. F. Labastida, Vice Chairman of CSIC, and his entourage visited the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS.
- On Dec. 4, Robert T. Nelsen, Managing Director and co-founder of ARCH Venture Partners, U. S. A., visited the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS with his entourage.
- On Dec. 6, Eugenia Flores, Minister of Science and Technology of Costa Rica, visited the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS. The members of the delegation consist of presidents from universities and colleges as well as senior officials of the government and science and technology departments.
- Recently, Dr. Tan Kok Keng, Chief Operation Officer of Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Singapore, visited the Kunming Institute of Botany, CAS on invitation and officially signed an agreement on energy plants research and development with the later on behalf of the lab.
- Recently, a preparation conference for cooperative research on the Program of the Agricultural Landscape Protection in the Southwestern Mountain Area & Strategies and Technologies on Ecologic System Resource Utilization was sponsored by the Chinese and German partners, which was held in Jinghong, Capital of Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The conference was jointly organized by the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden and Hohenheim University, Germany. There were 60 experts and students from 14 research institutes from the two countries attended the conference.
- From Dec. 13 to 16, Prof. David Wing Ow from the Plant Gene Expression Center of USA Department of Agriculture, paid a visit to the South China Botanical Garden, CAS.
- On Jan. 11 morning, David Bohigian, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Commerce, U. S. A. ?headed a Clean Energy Trade Delegation visited the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS.
- From Jan. 18 to 19, Andrew Smith and Sue Serjeantso, members of Australian Academy of Science, visited the South China Botanical Garden, CAS as well as Dinghushan Eco-station.
- Recently, Prof. Wong KM, from the Rimba Ilmu Botanical Garden, Malaysia University, visited the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden with his entourage.
- Recently, Jason Grant, senior official of the Scotland Development International, and Li Youxin, Vice R&D President of the Yantai AsiaPharm visited the Institute of Oceanology, CAS with a four-member delegation.
