Chinese Union of Botanical Gardens Inaugurated

The Chinese Union of Botanical Gardens (CUBG) was officially launched at a ceremony in Beijing on June 6, 2013. Bai Chunli, president of CAS, Zhao Shucong, director of the State Forestry Administration, and Chen Zhong, chief engineer of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, participated in the ceremony. CCBG is a nonprofit public organization open to all botanical gardens in China, including arboreta and medicinal botanical gardens. It aims to facilitate strategic cooperation among members.
