CAS Opens to EU Diplomats

On March 26, 19 foreign counselors, diplomats and representatives from 12 European member states and EU research organizations’ offices in China were invited to participate in the Approaching CAS Event in Beijing. On behalf of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Tan Tieniu, Deputy Secretary-General, gave an introduction on CAS and its international strategy. Dr. Philippe Vialatte, EU Delegation Minister Counsellor for S&T, as a representative of all invited guests, presented EU’s research system and cooperation with China. During the event, EU participants visited the CAS History Exhibition.
