China's First AVS Chip

Cordinated by the Institute of Computing Technology, CAS, the first chip of AVS101, based on China's audio and video coding standard, came into being in CAS. Relevant experts believe that the successful development of AVS101 is a milestone in the industrialization of AVS, which means a foundation for the development of the digital TV and digital audio/video industry in China. This achievement is made by the concerted efforts of the Institute of Computing Science with several other institutions from Beijing and Shanghai, which took one year' time to accomplish.
