International Training Course for Water Environment Protection and Water Pollution Control Opened

An international training program - the "Water Environment Protection and Water Pollution Control" International Training Course officially opened on 1 April at the CAS Institute of Hydrobioligy.

The training course lasted for 15 days. A total of 17 trainees from the Philippines, Kenya, the Republic of Korea, Egypt and Czech Republic partipated in the course.

The Institute of Hydrobiology has a number of renowned experts who in recent years undertook many research projects on controlling eutrophication of lake water and water pollution, and have accumulated rich technical experience in respect of artificial wetland, biological algae control and control of blue algae water bloom. It is expected that this course will train specialized personnel for these countries in protection of water environment and treatment of water pollution, and will boost the scientific exchange and cooperation in the field of environmental protection between China and other countries of the world.
