Significant Advance on Synthesis of Organic One-Dimensional Nanomaterials

The researchers, worked at CAS Key Laboratory of Organic Solid, Institute of Chemistry, proposed a new concept to control growth of new nanoscale aggregates based on ¦Ð-conjugated system of organic molecules. Cooperating with the State Key Laboratory of Artificial Microstructures and Mesoscopic Physics in Peking University, they use a novel way for constructing low dimensional nano-materials of organic molecules. Compared with the bulk materials, the optical properties of one-dimentsional organic small molecular nanomaterials display obvious differences. The results have been published on J.Am. Chem. Soc. 2003, 125(36), 1094-1095.
