The launching ceremony and the first conference of Wuhan National Bio-safety Level 4 Laboratory (Wuhan P4 Lab) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was held in Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province on Sept 29.

Experts attending the conference spoke highly of the lab’s contributions to China’s bio-safety, human health and public hygiene, pointing out that it will play the role of a high-level bio-safety platform.

They also called for improvement on management, training of high-end researchers, and more international cooperation and scientific research, and fulfill its missions as a State-level lab.
