The International Conference on National Science and Innovation Centers was held at Yanqi Lake, Beijing on July 12.

Representatives of science centers and national laboratories from 12 countries and international organizations attended the conference, exchanging experience on international science centers’ planning, building, management and operation, and discussing provision of coordinated mechanisms for better cooperation.

Directors, experts and scholars from global well-known science centers, including the US Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Switzerland’s Paul Scherrer Institute and the Tsukuba Scientific Town in Japan, made keynote speeches at the conference sharing their experience in organizational development and anticipation of trends.

The conference was co-hosted by the Beijing municipal government and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
