The human brain atlas facilitates understanding of the structure and functions of the brain. The most common brain atlas, based on cytoarchitecture, was published by German neurologist Dr. Korbinian Brodmann more than 100 years ago.

The Institute of Automation of CAS has defined a new one, the Human Brainnetome Atlas, after six years of efforts with national and foreign teams.

The Human Brainnetome Atlas: A New Brain Atlas Based on Connectional Architecture was recently released online in Cerebral Cortex and received extensive attention from international academia.

The Institute of Automation also shared the atlas on an official website (http://atlas.brainnetome.org), allowing researchers and clinicians from home and abroad to read it online or download it.
