More than 100 organizations affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) have held the 11th Public Science Day from May 16 to 17, 2015.
Children perform science magic tricks at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the CAS.
Themed as “Scientific and Technological Innovations, Serve the People”, the event aroused great attention and attracted nearly 400, 000 visitors.
Researchers from the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion demonstrate a wind-solar hybrid power generation system to teachers and kids.
The CAS opened some of its key state laboratories, astronomical observatories, botanical gardens, museums, field stations and science facilities to the public, as well as holding a variety of interesting and colorful activities.
