The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the French Agricultural Research Center for International Development (CIRAD) held a framework cooperation agreement signing ceremony by video conference on February 25.

CAS Vice President Zhang Yaping and CIRAD President Managing Director Michel Eddi signed on behalf of the respective parties at the event.

Through this landmark agreement the two parties will boost contacts and interactions between the Chinese and French scientific communities, provide solutions to address climate change and biodiversity conservation, and increase cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food and the environment.
