Bai also introduced the academy’s PIFI plan, expressing the hope that the Italian side would work to enable more researchers and graduate students to come to CAS and participate in it.
Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research Valeria Fedeli highly praised the achievements made in the YBJ-ARGO cosmic ray experiment project and the Jiangmen neutrino experiment. She added that she hoped the two sides would continue to enhance collaborations in the detection of dark matter particles and gravitational waves, and quantum communication technology. She also encouraged joint cultivation of graduate students and further collaborative research and innovation between CAS and related Italian institutions.
