CHINESE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

Bai Chunli, president of Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), met with Charles Bolden, administrator of the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in Beijing, on August 7.

When reviewing remarkable exchanges and cooperation achievements made by the two agencies in recent few years, Bai praised the people involved in Himalayan glacial melting observation from outer space, disaster studies, space geodetic techniques, and lunar exploration data sharing, and expressed his hope for more opportunities. On his part, Bolden said he is satisfied with the mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese scientists and hopes to see more scientific data sharing.
