A 28-member delegation from the Australian National University (ANU) visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences on April 13.
CAS President Bai Chunli welcomed the guests and proposed that the two sides co-sponsor PhD programs based on their cooperation in scientific research.
ANU President Ian Young agreed with Bai and voiced his hope to deepen reciprocal cooperation in broader areas.
The delegation also visited the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and held discussions with relevant research institutes in four major fields----materials and nanoscience, astronomy and mathematics, earth and environmental science, and biomedical science.
