Bai Chunli, president of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), met with Dr. Martin Stratmann, president of the Max Planck Society (MPG), in Beijing on April 20.

The MPG is one of CAS’s most important long-term partners, Bai said. He proposed to co-organize a seminar with the MPG to discuss major programs and mechanisms for the coming decade to promote cooperation between Max Planck institutes and CAS centers of excellence and mega-science research centers.

Stratmann agreed with Bai on the proposal to discuss future cooperation plans to further consolidate the partnership.
