The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) held its 14th Public Science Day at more than 100 research institutes nationwide on May 19 and 20. Themed “Making Innovations in Science and Technology, Bringing Prosperity to the Nation and People”, the event aims to display CAS’s major scientific and technological innovations in advanced disciplines of science and tehcnology and major national needs and sectors of the national economy, to promote the philosophy of developing science and technology for the well-being of mankind, and to arouse the attention and interest of the public, especially teenagers, in science.
